The Role

ANSTO is procuring PMS intended to deliver embedded leadership, support, integration, and coordination across the full lifecycle of the NMMP. The Supplier will operate as an integral part of ANSTO’s NMMP Delivery Team, ensuring controlled, transparent, and value-for-money delivery across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and transition to operations. All Services must be delivered within ANSTO’s established governance framework and in compliance with applicable regulatory, safety, and quality requirements governing nuclear and radiopharmaceutical infrastructure. The ANSTO Representative will have full management and oversight authority for the Project Manager. The Project Manager will report directly to, be accountable to, and work in full cooperation with the ANSTO Representative in delivering the Services. The Project Manager must possess the knowledge, skills, capacity, and experience expected of a suitably qualified project manager for the size and complexity of the NMMP, including competence in both routine project and program management activities and the provision of specialist advisory services.

About You

a) Plan and manage delivery of the NMMP to maximise value for money for the Commonwealth and ensure alignment with ANSTO’s strategic and operational objectives for the NMMP. b) Provide proactive, evidence-based advice and recommendations to ANSTO, including early identification of risks, constraints, emerging issues and opportunities. c) Proactively engage, cooperate and coordinate with other consultants and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop, refine and maintain project scope, cost model, schedule, risk profile and delivery strategies across all phases. d) Coordinate advice and guidance of the ANSTO appointed Risk Consultant, analyse, monitor, mitigate and manage project risks and issues, with clear ownership and timely escalation. e) Coordinate and manage stakeholder consultation (including internal ANSTO stakeholders, regulatory bodies,technical advisors and delivery partners). f) Support project approvals and compliance, including integration of ANSTO governance requirements. g) Develop procurement and contracting strategies drawing on performance, lessons learned, market intelligence and best practice. h) Manage procurement processes for Project Contractors (including preparing documentation, conducting evaluations and providing recommendations to ANSTO). i) Manage and integrate Project Contractors, including administering contracts and overseeing contractor performance, deliverables and compliance. j) Provide quality assurance over documentation, technical deliverables, plans, schedules, cost submissions,progress claims and data prepared by Project Contractors. k) Work collaboratively with ANSTO and its advisers and consultants (including legal, risk, schedule, procurement, probity, safety, regulatory, operational readiness, commercial and technical experts). l) Apply relevant experience, industry knowledge and lessons learned to support best-practice planning, delivery and decision-making.
