The Role

The engagement of quantity surveying services are required to undertake the cost analysis and financial contract management administration components of the Program Delivery Business framework. In particular, the position will provide services to support the SSN AUKUS Acquisition Branch Business Program Team within the SSN AUKUS Acquisition Branch

About You

 The below is a list of proposed key services that are to be provided:

 

  • Perform assessment, analysis and financial investigation of cost data that is part of an invoice management process to ensure claims  provided by suppliers, including the Australian Shipbuilder, to assure  the integrity, validity and accuracy of the charged amounts;  
  • Engage, negotiate and provide support to stakeholders on complex issues and activities to influence and achieve business outcomes for the Branch and other work areas including:
  • Development of Program Delivery cost framework including the initial set up of Cost Review systems and processes of the Australian Shipbuilder;
  • Excellent communication skills in order to collaborate with key stakeholders in the development and ongoing management of the Australian Shipbuilder Program Cost Estimates; and Tasking Statement and Contract updates.

 

Identify the critical administrative, project and business cost risks for the Branch and determine an appropriate course of action to meet stakeholder needs;

  • Assist with the commercial and financial administration tasks to support the business delivery of contract and procurement activities, including:
  • Invoice and Purchase Order management which incorporates seeking verification and approval of goods and services;
  • Gathering and reporting of the SSN AUKUS Acquisition Branch accrual data from Suppliers;
  • Provide support and input to simple procurement requests;
  • Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders as required;
  • Gathering and reporting of the SSN AUKUS Acquisition significant payment data from Suppliers; and
  • Management of the SSN AUKUS Acquisition Branch Business inboxes.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with team members, stakeholders and actively participate in teamwork and group activities;
  • Develop and implement procedural, operational, administrative and business support documentation consistent with business requirements; and any other work as directed.
  • The work requirements will be dynamic. The personnel will work in a high-paced environment with demanding deadlines with extended working hours required at times
