The Role

We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced professionals to support the delivery of complex Defence capability outcomes across a range of program, project, engineering and logistics functions.

Working within integrated teams, successful candidates will contribute specialist expertise, collaborate with key stakeholders and support the achievement of critical capability objectives in a fast-paced Defence environment.

Program Planning (2 roles available – L3 Advanced Practitioners):

We are seeking experienced Program Planning and Integration Officers to support planning, integration, governance and performance management activities within a complex Defence capability environment.

In this role, you will develop, maintain and continuously improve key program and project planning artefacts, ensuring alignment across scope, schedule, cost, risk and workforce considerations. You will coordinate and integrate inputs from multiple stakeholders, delivery streams and functional disciplines to support effective program planning, decision-making and delivery outcomes.

You will also contribute to performance monitoring, executive reporting, governance activities and assurance processes, providing accurate and timely information to support senior leadership and program governance requirements.

The role location is Canberra – ACT and an NV1 clearance is required.

About You

You are an experienced program planning/ integration project professional with the ability to operate effectively within a complex Defence, government or large-scale delivery environment.

You will demonstrate experience in:

  • Developing and maintaining program and project management artefacts, plans and supporting documentation
  • Coordinating and integrating inputs across multiple stakeholders, workstreams and functional areas
  • Supporting program planning, governance and performance management activities • Monitoring progress against approved plans, identifying variances and supporting corrective actions
  • Preparing executive reporting, briefing materials and decision-support documentation
  • Supporting governance forums, assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Analysing information to identify risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities for improved delivery outcomes
  • Ensuring documentation, processes and artefacts comply with relevant governance and organisational requirements

You possess strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and provide high-quality support to complex program delivery activities.
