The Role

We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced professionals to support the delivery of complex Defence capability outcomes across a range of program, project, engineering and logistics functions.

Working within integrated teams, successful candidates will contribute specialist expertise, collaborate with key stakeholders and support the achievement of critical capability objectives in a fast-paced Defence environment.

Program Manager – L4 Expert:

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to support the planning, integration, governance and performance management of a complex Defence capability program.

Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will lead the development and maintenance of program planning, governance and reporting artefacts, ensuring alignment across scope, schedule, cost, risk and benefits. You will establish integrated planning and reporting frameworks, support executive decision-making, coordinate inputs from multiple stakeholders and provide program-level performance analysis to support successful delivery outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and analytical skills, with responsibility for supporting governance activities, assurance processes, executive reporting and strategic program planning within a complex and evolving environment.

The role location is Canberra – ACT and an NV1 clearance is required for this role.

About You

You are an experienced Program Manager with a proven ability to lead complex programs within Defence, government or similarly regulated environments.

You will demonstrate experience in:

  • Program planning, governance and performance management
  • Developing and maintaining program management frameworks, plans and reporting artefacts
  • Integrating scope, schedule, cost, risk and benefit management activities
  • Executive reporting, governance support and decision-making processes
  • Program performance analysis, risk assessment and issue resolution
  • Coordinating and aligning inputs from diverse stakeholder groups
  • Supporting assurance activities, reviews and program reporting requirements
  • Preparing high-quality briefs, reports and strategic documentation

You possess strong communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills, with the ability to influence outcomes, manage competing priorities and provide trusted advice in complex delivery environments.

Experience working within Defence capability delivery, acquisition, sustainment or large-scale transformation programs will be highly regarded.
