About Us

IAG Defence & National Security (DNS) is part of IAG, a specialist advisory firm supporting complex infrastructure, Defence and national security programs across Australia.

Our DNS team works closely with Commonwealth agencies and industry partners to deliver specialist expertise into nationally significant programs. Our success depends on our ability to identify, engage and mobilise highly specialised talent quickly and effectively. IAG is recognised as Veteran Friendly Employer under the Veteran Employment Program.

The Role

Based in Edinburgh, South Australia, we are seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to support the coordination of operational activities within a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.

This role is responsible for planning and coordinating operational workflows, managing escalations, supporting incident response activities, and ensuring effective communication across a broad range of stakeholders.

Working closely with technical teams, leadership and customers, you will coordinate activities across multiple work areas, assist in the management of operational incidents, and support the delivery of timely and effective responses to complex issues. You will play a key role in facilitating stakeholder engagement, preparing operational reports and briefings, and supporting decision-making through the analysis and communication of critical information.

The role also involves contributing to incident management processes, reviewing service disruptions and availability issues, identifying trends and risks, and supporting the implementation of remedial actions and continuous improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who thrives in operational environments where coordination, communication and sound judgement are critical.

About You

You are an experienced operations, incident management or service delivery professional (TSPV cleared) with a proven ability to coordinate complex activities across multiple teams and stakeholders. You are highly organised, adaptable and capable of managing competing priorities while maintaining a focus on operational outcomes.

You possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have experience preparing executive-level reports, briefs, situation updates and stakeholder communications. You are comfortable translating complex technical or operational information into clear, concise messaging tailored to a range of audiences, including senior leaders.

You are a confident stakeholder manager with the ability to build productive relationships, negotiate outcomes and influence decision-making across diverse groups. Your collaborative approach enables you to effectively coordinate activities, facilitate engagements and support successful operational outcomes.

You have strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to assess complex information, determine the significance and impact of incidents or service disruptions, and provide well-considered recommendations for corrective action. Experience supporting incident response, operational coordination, service management or cyber security environments will be highly regarded.

To be successful, you will demonstrate sound judgement, resilience under pressure and a proactive approach to problem solving within a dynamic and mission-focused environment.

Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must hold a current TSPV Security Clearance and be willing to undergo an Organisation Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to commencement.
