The Role

This role is within the CASG environment working on the Land 4140 project as part of LC4 Integration SPO. The ILS Officer will be responsible for assisting in the development and management of ILS products and inputs for the Land 4140 project. Reporting to the ILS Manager, and working with the broader LAND 4140 team, the Contractor will be proactive in anticipating the needs for day-to-day operations of LC4 capabilities seeking opportunities for improvement and efficiencies within LC4S Branch management practices and contracts. The Contractor will be adept at working with a multidisciplinary team and varied stakeholders to ensure the Commonwealth meets contractual obligations and achieves the required capability outcomes

About You

Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Development of ILS concepts and program plans including transition plans and disposal plans.
  • Support to development and assessment of procurement activities.
  • Support to development of requirements for future project submissions for Government consideration.
  • Support integration of Fundamental Inputs to Capability in planning considerations.
  • Review (AHQ) Statement of Operating Intent and incorporate into ILS document requirements.
  • Support development of ILS Project supporting documents including Electrical Mechanical and Engineering Instructions (EMEI).
  • Support analysis of Government Furnished Equipment requirements and obligations.
  • Other tasks as directed by the ILS Manager or Project Director.

The ILS Officer may also be required to undertake a range of duties to support the team and overall project objectives.

Experience / Skills Sought:

  • Services are to be provided commensurate with relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and Defence requirements. Service providers are to employ industry best practice when undertaking the Services.

The successful candidate will possess experience in the following:

  • Assisting in the implementation of processes and procedures to support the acquisition and sustainment of equipment in accordance with Defence requirements. • Reviewing and advising on materiel logistics performance within an acquisition project.
  • Understanding and applying organisational processes and procedures in the development of Integrated Logistics Support Concepts, Analyses and Plans.
  • Liaising and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external materiel logistics stakeholders.
  • Communicating materiel logistics requirements through detailed written documents and oral presentations for higher delegate consideration.

Adapting and adjusting materiel logistics activities to ensure alignment with project objectives. Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • The Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
  • Relevant qualifications in Integrated Logistics Support and associated domain knowledge.
  • Extensive experience in Integrated Logistics Support.
  • Experience planning and conducting activities for Integrated Logistic Support and related disciplines, in a pre-First Pass major acquisition project the acquisition and sustainment aspects of materiel logistics.
  • Work includes a broad range of complex technical or professional work, in a variety of contexts.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance. Desirable Experience and / or Qualifications:

  • Previous Defence experience is highly desirable.
  • Project experience in the Land Domain Practical knowledge and experience in identifying, applying and monitoring supply support/inventory management activities in a major acquisition project.
  • Understanding of export control administration and requirements.
