Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment on our Campbellfield site which includes canning and bottling lines as well as yet to be utilised brewery and distillery. The Maintenance Fitter will be required to perform regular maintenance, repairs, and installations to ensure that all equipment is functioning at optimal levels.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Repair and replace faulty parts and components as needed
  • Install new machinery and equipment as required
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with machinery and equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge

 

Requirements:

  • Completion of a relevant trade certification program – Fitter and Turner
  • Experience in the beverage packaging industry is highly preferrable, food packaging also acceptable
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Hourly rates range from $53–$58 per hour, plus superannuation and applicable award penalties and allowances, depending on relevant experience.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility in working hours to support production requirements, as we currently operate on a 24-hour, 5-day-per-week schedule.
