About You:
Are you a commercially minded finance professional with a passion for numbers and people? We are looking for a Finance Officer to join our team and play a key role in debtor and creditor management. We are looking for a candidate that values building genuine relationships with suppliers and customers, not just processing transactions with them. The Details:
This role is responsible for managing end-to-end accounts payable and receivable functions, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting compliance requirements, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of finance processes.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to resolve queries quickly and keep accounts running smoothly.
- Manage inventory valuation and lead monthly slow-moving stock reporting
- Generate customer invoices, allocate payments, and proactively manage debtor relationships to minimise overdue accounts.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and assist with an 8-week rolling cashflow model
- Own the IDL end-of-month financial model including AR/AP cashflow, expenses, purchasing, and inventory forecasts
- Assist the Finance Manager with month-end journals, accruals, and reconciliations
- Liaise with external accountants, advisors, and banking partners
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar AP/AR focused role
- Excellent communication, not afraid to pick up the phone and exceptional stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and leverage strong relationships with suppliers and customers to drive outcome
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working across multiple systems
- Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Important Info –
- The role will be predominantly based in Geelong, Victoria. Some travel to our other sites may be required from time to time.
