The Role
We’re looking for a dedicated Verification and Validation (V&V) Officer to join a Defence program team in Canberra. This is a great opportunity for someone with a sharp analytical mindset and an eye for detail to help ensure systems, processes and deliverables meet the standard required across the program lifecycle.
You’ll work closely with engineering, integration and project teams, providing V&V and Test & Evaluation support from planning right through to acceptance and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and coordinate Verification and Validation Plans aligned with program schedules and milestones
- Plan and support execution of Test & Evaluation activities, including test scenarios, procedures and schedules
- Maintain requirements traceability, ensuring all system requirements are verified, validated and closed out
- Analyse test results and verification evidence to identify defects, non-conformances and corrective actions
- Provide V&V and T&E input to design reviews and prepare test reports, verification records and assurance documentation
Required
- Current AGSVA NV1 security clearance
- Experience in verification, validation or test and evaluation roles, ideally within a Defence or systems engineering environment
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with testing methodologies, risk assessment and quality assurance practices
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and work independently
