The Role
We are looking for a Senior Business Manager / Project Officer to support the coordination and delivery of complex ICT and technical projects in a secure Defence environment. This role will suit someone who is highly organised, confident working with senior stakeholders, and comfortable
balancing project governance, reporting, planning, risks, resources and delivery priorities across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate business planning, resource allocation and scheduling activities to support delivery across technical projects.
- Work closely with project leads and technical teams to capture program updates, delivery plans and key reporting inputs.
- Monitor project performance, including financials, resourcing, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Prepare clear reports, briefs and presentation material for senior stakeholders.
- Support project governance activities, including project boards, approval forums and design gate reviews.
- Organise and support stakeholder engagement activities, including working groups, coordination meetings and integration forums.
- Help ensure project information is accurate, timely and aligned with governance requirements.
About You
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination, business management or program support within ICT or technical delivery environments.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, schedules and stakeholder expectations.
- Experience preparing reports, briefs and presentations for senior leaders or decision-making forums.
- Confidence working in a team environment and participating in project meetings with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex project information into clear updates.
- A proactive, practical and detail-focused approach to supporting project delivery.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience supporting classified, secure or Defence-related ICT environments.
- Exposure to governance, operation or management of strategic ICT mission systems.
- Previous experience working in highly regulated or sensitive project environments.

- Location: ACT, QLD or VIC.
- Working arrangements: Onsite, with flexibility subject to operational requirements.
- Clearance: Must hold a current TSPV security clearance
- Citizenship: Australian citizenship required.
- Expected start: September 2026.
