Due to internal promotion and continued organisational growth, we are seeking a motivated and professional Safety Officer to join our HSEQ team. This is a full-time position offering flexible working arrangements, travel opportunities, and strong potential for long-term career development. The successful candidate will be energetic, highly organised, and committed to promoting and maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, this role combines both administrative and on-site responsibilities, supporting the delivery of effective health, safety, environment, and quality outcomes across the business.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Supporting the HSEQ Manager in their role as required
  • Supporting Project Managers and Site Teams to establish and maintain a safe workplace, ensuring compliance across our organisation
  • Provide knowledge and practical guidance to our teams on HSE issues
  • Support compliance of all WHS documentation with our internal and external requirements under the ISO certifications
  • Assist to maintain a positive culture of safety in the workplace
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections across projects
  • Maintain and update compliance records in line with Hydrilla management systems and legislative requirements
  • Prepare and review Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and risk assessments for routine or ad hoc projects
  • Support incident investigations
  • Educating employees through Inductions, training & VOC’s on safety procedures, hazard awareness, and the proper use of safety equipment.
  • Promoting and supporting cultural and psychological safety within the organisation

Experience/Qualifications Required:

  • Cert III in WHS and/or relevant experience
  • Outstanding skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Current unrestricted Drivers Licence
