About the role:
This is a newly created, senior marketing role for someone who wants to be all about building a strong, consistent brand and driving customer engagement. Working closely with the General Manager – Sales & Marketing, you’ll shape the brand identity to ensure it stays clear and cohesive across all channels. You’ll plan and manage marketing campaigns for new and existing products,
helping to launch and promote them effectively.
You’ll be responsible for building and executing Hygain’s marketing strategy, owning our content and social presence, managing campaigns and advertising and leading key brand and growth projects. You’ll develop the annual Marketing Plan and own the delivery.
This role is ideally based in Officer, Victoria with the flexibility of the successful applicant working at our Somersby office in NSW.
Your responsibilities will be but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans aligned to growth targets.
- Lead a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to
ensure the successful execution of marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to align marketing efforts to support business objectives.
- Own brand positioning and target market definition across product, packaging, pricing, promotion, and distribution.
- Drive Hygain’s presence across LinkedIn, industry forums, and industry networks.
- Take the lead in planning and executing marketing campaigns for both new and existing products, from concept to launch.
- Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activities, gathering insights that inform our strategies and keep us competitive.
- Lead and oversee digital marketing efforts, including social media, SEO, PPC, email campaigns, and website optimisation to strengthen our online presence.
- Create compelling and consistent content that speaks to our audience,
keeping the brand voice strong and unified.
- Balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution to drive brand
growth, engagement, and long-term success.
- Provide regular reporting on brand, campaign, and product performance to senior
stakeholders.
- Managing brand presence, brand consistency, and market positioning
- Leading vendor and agency relationships (digital, creative, events, media)
- Use of AI-powered tools and digital technologies to drive efficiency, insight, and
competitive advantage.
- Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI.
To succeed in the role, you will require:
- Proven experience in B2B marketing ,ideally within equine
- Ability to align marketing activity with growth outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing agencies, vendors, and external partners.
- Confidence working with senior leaders and influencing at executive level.
- A hands-on, agile mindset suited to a high-growth and fast paced environment.
- Experience leading or mentoring junior marketing team members.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, business, or a related discipline.
- Naturally proactive, organised,and energetic with a dynamic approach to marketing performance.
- You will bring strong digital marketing experience with proven capability across paid media, SEO, website content.analytics and campaign optimisation.
- Creative and forward-thinking, with a head full of ideas and a strong understanding of modern communication drivers.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to connect marketing activity to brand awareness, engagement, and business outcomes.
- Positive, collaborative, and team-centric, with the confidence to work across multiple departments and stakeholders.
