Service Manager
Full-Time Position
📍 Bowral (also covering Queanbeyan and Nowra branches)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Manager to lead from the front and drive our service team across three locations!
Position Overview
As the Service Manager, you will take charge of the service department, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction while driving profitable service labor sales and maintaining expense control.
Your leadership will be key in building and mentoring a high-performing team, attracting top talent, and fostering a culture of engagement and excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing

Leadership & Management: Oversee daily service operations, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs and maintenance. Lead and mentor your team through supervision, training, and biannual performance reviews. Support recruitment and staffing efforts for your department.

Customer Service: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, handling inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.

Service Operations: Manage schedules and work orders, maintain accurate records of repairs, warranty claims, and Product Improvement Program (PIP) activities.

Financial Performance: Monitor budgets and track KPIs such as Service Efficiency, Labor Performance, and customer satisfaction scores.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements. Conduct regular safety audits and maintain compliance through our Safety Management System.

Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with Parts and Sales departments to ensure smooth operations. Coordinate with the Branch Manager and attend service management meetings, providing updates on performance. Participate in customer clinics, field days, and promotional events.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in Service Department operations
- Qualifications in HV Diesel Mechanics or similar (essential)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications; experience with JD systems is an advantage
- Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products (preferred)
- Ability to interpret internal reports and work extended hours/weekends when required
- Willingness to travel between locations as required
