About the Role
The Finance Operations Analyst will support the day-to-day finance function, with a strong focus on receivables, receipting, and cash management. The role is responsible for overseeing a high volume of premium invoices and payments, ensuring transactions are processed and allocated correctly, while managing reconciliations, exceptions, and broker queries.
This is a fast-paced underwriting business leveraging automation and new technologies, so the role suits someone who is organised, hands-on, and comfortable working across both finance operations and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee high-volume accounts receivable and automated receipting processes
- Investigate and resolve payment exceptions, discrepancies, and broker queries
- Monitor overdue accounts and follow up with brokers
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives, with receivables automation currently above 90% and a goal of increasing automation further
- Process accounts payable and assist with supplier payments
- Manage daily cash movements between trust, operating, and loss fund accounts
- Support month-end reporting and general finance administration
- Work closely with underwriting, claims, and operations teams
- Maintain accurate financial records and support strong finance controls
- Build strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Strong Excel, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing receivables and dealing with brokers and stakeholders
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high transaction volumes
- Understanding of underwriting operations and premium accounting
- Interest in process improvement, automation, and systems
