HumanAbility is a Jobs and Skills Council for the health, human services, aged care and disability, sport & recreation and early childhood industries.
HumanAbility’s objective is to advance education by supporting skills and workforce development for the above specified industries. It is a values-based organisation, that is not-for-profit, industry-owned and led, that is contracted by the federal government.
HumanAbility will achieve its objectives through:
- Implementation of the Jobs & Skills Councils – Strengthening Australia’s National Vocational Education and Training System program, or its replacement program, and similar programs supported by governments and/or industry;
- Workforce planning activities that develop strategies to address workforce challenges, using high-quality data and evidence on current and emerging skills needs (in collaboration with Jobs and Skills Australia) associated with a range of educational pathways, including vocational education and training (VET) and higher education;
- Formal and informal training product development, including resources aligned with standards set by Skills Ministers to improve the quality, speed-to-market and responsiveness of nationally recognised training products;
- Contributions to the implementation, promotion and monitoring of VET; and
- Industry stewardship to advance education by acting as a source of intelligence on issues affecting relevant industries and national training system opportunities.
We have an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join us on a full-time basis in an ongoing capacity subject to funding (currently funded until mid-2028). The role may be located anywhere in Australia and will involve travel with overnight stays for organisation meetings, workshops, and industry events.
About the Position
The Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator provides essential operational, systems, and administrative support to the Training Product Development and Quality Assurance teams. The QA Coordinator is responsible for developing and managing tools and systems that facilitate the work of the training package development team. This includes coordinating the use of platforms such as SharePoint, Monday.com, MS Teams, Training Package Central (TPC), and MS Dynamics to ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality, and in strict alignment with VET compliance benchmarks.
In addition, this role handles complex stakeholder enquiries from RTOs, and other stakeholders to support the implementation, accuracy, and compliance of training products across HumanAbility’s remit. This position ensures the smooth day-to-day coordination of project lifecycles, maintains
accurate tracking systems, and serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external training product enquiries. The ideal candidate possesses deep Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector knowledge, a strong quality mindset, high digital literacy, and a proactive approach to maintaining data integrity.
Key Accountabilities
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Review and audit training package products and other project materials to ensure they meet established quality benchmarks and TPOF requirements.
- Conduct systems reviews.
- Perform [SB1] [CF2] editing and proofreading of training products and project documentation to ensure technical accuracy, grammatical precision, and alignment with organisational style guide.
- Assist in developing, documenting, and disseminating systems, processes and tools related to quality assurance and training package development.
Manage Enquiries
- Monitor and manage the dedicated training product advice inbox, ensuring timely and professional triage of incoming communications.
- Respond directly to training product enquiries from stakeholders to support implementation and compliance, escalating complex matters as required.
- Manage, track, and coordinate responses for specific accredited course enquiries, escalating complex regulatory matters as required.
- Maintain the centralised issues register, logging quality concerns and reporting on them regularly.
Tools and Systems Management
- Set up, configure, and manage tools and systems—including SharePoint, Monday.com, MS Teams, Microsoft Excel, Training Package Central (TPC) to ensure they are regularly updated, maintained, and tailored to support the training product development and quality assurance team’s workflow and collaboration.
- Coordinate the entry of training products into systems like TPC, reviewing and quality-checking data entered by project teams, while providing hands-on data entry support during peak periods or large-scale projects.
- Develop scripts and create instructional videos to support the training package development team’s ongoing learning and development.
- Develop and implement new systems and processes to enhance efficiency and support training product development and quality assurance activities.
- Provide ongoing support and training to team members on systems and processes and the effective use of tools.
Documentation and Reporting
- Assist the wider quality team in preparing regular compliance, and quality reports.
- Compile and generate monthly enquiries reporting to identify volume trends, common stakeholder questions, and response times.
- Coordinate and attend team meetings, ensuring action items are noted, assigned, and updated in the project management tools.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quality assurance and training package development.
Other
- Observe and follow work health, safety and wellbeing policies and guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- VET Qualification (Highly Regarded): A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a qualification related to internal auditing and compliance is highly advantageous.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience working within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, with a solid understanding of training packages, and quality assurance.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience managing Systems and Tools such as: SharePoint, Monday.com, MS Teams, and MS Dynamics.
- Proven experience managing a high-volume shared corporate inbox, with a track record of handling and resolving complex customer or stakeholder enquiries professionally.

Type of Employment
All appointees must be willing to obtain a police check and Working with Children Check and there may be times when it is required to work outside normal business hours i.e. evenings and weekends to meet operational and/or stakeholder requirements, and dependant on work deliverables, the role
may be required to undertake travel.
We operate a hybrid working model. While flexibility is supported, the balance of office-based work, in-person attendance at meetings, events, etc and remote work will vary depending on role, location, and business needs.
