We are currently seeking a Part Time Grounds & Maintenance Supervisor (3-4 days per week) to join our friendly team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for the overall upkeep, presentation and improvement of the village grounds, gardens, facilities and general maintenance of Riverside Residential Village. You will oversee and support a small maintenance team while ensuring the village is maintained to a high standard for our residents and visitors.

You must enjoy working with people and be able to communicate easily, professionally and confidently, creating a positive experience for residents, guests and team members alike. You will take pride in your appearance, be self-motivated, have a strong eye for detail, a passion for grounds and maintenance, and a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring flexibility, initiative and the ability to balance operational maintenance tasks with team supervision and resident interaction.

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in grounds and property maintenance, preferably within a residential village, holiday park, hospitality or accommodation environment. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly regarded.

The successful applicant will require:

  • A current manual Driver’s Licence
  • Demonstrated experience in property and grounds maintenance
  • Experience leading or supervising a small team
  • Strong handyman and maintenance skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks effectively

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervision and coordination of the Grounds & Maintenance services
  • Presenting the village grounds to a high standard including leaf blowing, rubbish removal, garden presentation and reporting unsafe areas
  • General repairs and maintenance across the village and facilities
  • General gardening, landscaping and garden maintenance
  • Maintaining buildings, plant equipment and grounds
  • Attending to reactive and preventative maintenance tasks across the village
  • Operating power tools, maintenance equipment and ride-on mowers safely and effectively
  • Coordinating and assisting external trades and contractors to ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner
  • Communicating maintenance works effectively with management and residents
  • Working closely with the management team to improve operational efficiencies and village presentation
  • Ensuring maintenance requests are completed in a professional and timely manner
  • Providing excellent service and maintaining positive relationships with residents and guests
  • Undertaking any additional duties as requested by the Village Manager
  • Attending to occasional after-hours call outs as required (minimal)

YOU WILL BRING

  • Previous experience in a similar Grounds & Maintenance role
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a small team
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high presentation standards
  • The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage competing demands
  • A friendly, energetic and professional approach when interacting with residents, guests and colleagues
  • Experience with carpentry, grounds maintenance or similar trade-related work highly regarded

This is a part time position which may include some on-call responsibilities as required.

The rate of pay for this role is based on the applicable award and candidate experience.
