We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Practice Coordinator / Legal Secretary to become part of our Corporate and M&A team. In this role, you’ll be empowered to take initiative and play a meaningful role in the continued success of the team. This is a varied and hands-on role supporting the smooth running of the practice through high-quality administration, billing and legal secretarial support.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with partners, practitioners and graduates
  • Coordinate Corporate & M&A team meetings, reporting, communications and follow-up actions.
  • Support billing, disbursement and expense management processes.
  • Assist with business development, marketing and tender activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across practice administration and operations.
  • Provide legal secretarial support including file management, document preparation, correspondence and monthly billing.
  • Provide PA support to Brisbane Corporate Partners, including diary, travel and communication management.

About You

You are an experienced and motivated Practice Coordinator or Legal Secretary who thrives in a dynamic environment.

  • 7+ years’ experience as a Senior Legal Secretary and/or Personal Assistant in professional services
  • Proven billing experience
  • High discretion with strong ability to manage confidential information
  • Skilled in drafting documents, reports, and extracting key insights
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong multitasking ability with effective stakeholder management
  • Excellent client service and relationship-building skills (internal & external)
  • Advanced systems proficiency, including MS Office (iManage and Aderant desirable)
