Our opportunity: 

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic kitchen assistant at our Redbank Plains center. This role will work alongside our Chef to provide a true inhouse café offering to parents (typically between 10:30:am – 3:30pm) and then assist with other daily kitchen and centre duties as required. A truly one-of-one opportunity for a true people person.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the café area and ensure a welcoming environment.

• Support the Chef and Kitchen with general kitchen duties when café service is quiet.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines and other café equipment in line with food safety procedures.
• Ensure all food handling, hygiene and safety protocols are followed.
• Food preparation
• Meal service and delivery to the classrooms
• Kitchen close down and leave coverage when required

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience as a Kitchenhand/assistant.
• A true people centric personality and approach to your work.
• Previous experience in Childcare would be advantageous
