Description

As Finance Manager at Holyoake, you will be the financial backbone of one of WA’s most respected community services organisations. You will lead the Finance team, partner with the Executive, and empower leaders across an organisation to make confident, sound financial decisions.

About the role

  • You will lead the Finance team in completing end-to-end financial processes – from budgeting and forecasting through to statutory compliance, acquittal reporting, end of month processing, payroll, and tax.
  • You will provide financial advice to the Executive General Manager Finance & IT, CEO, and Board, shaping the financial direction of the organisation.
  • You will prepare and present management accounts, variance analysis, and financial reports to senior leadership and the Executive General Manager Finance and IT.
  • You will develop, implement and continuously improve financial policy, governance frameworks, and internal controls across the organisation.
  • You will lead the annual audit and funding acquittal process and manage relationships with external auditors and funding bodies.
  • You will coach, develop, and lead the Finance team, building financial capability and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • You will empower and develop organisational leaders to improve financial literacy and the data informed decision making.
  • You will work across a diverse portfolio spanning community programs, counselling services, prevention, mental health and justice – no two days are the same!

This is a permanent, full time position of 37.5 hours per week. The role is based at our offices in Victoria Park, with the flexibility to work from home and other Holyoake locations as required.

About you

  • You hold a degree in Accounting or Business and are a member of CA ANZ or CPA Australia
  • You have experience in a finance leadership role, with responsibility for leading a finance function
  • You have demonstrated experience providing financial advice to executive leaders, boards, and/or audit committees
  • You have a strong track record across the full finance lifecycle
  • You can translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for non-financial audiences
  • You work autonomously when needed and value being part of a strong, connected leadership team
  • Experience in the not-for-profit or government-funded sector is highly regarded but not essential
  • You hold or can obtain a current National Police Clearance
