Solicitor, a highly strategic family lawyer who handles a wide range of matters
– from complex parenting disputes and/or complex financial cases. You will gain
hands-on experience, develop advocacy confidence, and build strong drafting
skills from the start.
You will be trusted to run your own files (with support),
not micromanaged and given genuine opportunities to grow your career in a firm
that’s expanding.
What you will be doing
You will work across a diverse range of family law matters
and be actively involved in:
- Managing
your own matters with appropriate supervision
- Drafting
Court documents including Initiating Applications and Affidavits
- Preparing
financial disclosure and evidence
- Attending
Court, mediations and conciliations
- Briefing
and liaising with Counsel
- Conducting
legal research
- Meeting
directly with clients and guiding them through difficult situations
Who this Role Suits
This role is ideal for a solicitor with at least +2 years
PQE who:
- Has
had 2+ years’ experience in family law
- Has
a strong interest in building a career in family law
- Wants
hand-on responsibility, not just administrative tasks
- Is
confident, motivated and eager to develop advocacy and strategy skills
- Has
strong communication and drafting ability
- Can
work both independently and collaboratively
- Is
organised, detailed-focused and proactive
