Our Communications team are currently looking for a casual Video Content Creator to join the team. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end development and delivery of high-quality video content that supports brand, marketing and campaign objectives. This role oversees the full production lifecycle includingideation, filming, editing and motion design, ensuring content is engaging, visually compelling and optimised for multiple platforms. Ensure all video content authentically reflects the vision, mission and values of Hillsong Church Australia

CONTENT PLANNING & CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

  • Collaborate with the Communications team to interpret campaign briefs and translate them into compelling video concepts.
  • Develop storyboards, scripts, shot lists and production plans aligned with brand guidelines and objectives.
  • Contribute creative ideas and innovative approaches to enhance audience engagement and storytelling.
  • Ensure all concepts, scripts and storytelling approaches align with Hillsong Church Australia’s brand identity, mission, vision and cultural values.
  • Ensure all content aligns with platform requirements, audience behaviours, and campaign strategies.

VIDEOGRAPHY & PRODUCTION

  • Lead and execute video shoots across studio and on-location environments.
  • Operate camera equipment, lighting setups and audio recording to achieve high production quality.
  • Direct talent and coordinate on-set activities to deliver on creative vision and timelines.
  • Maintain and manage video production equipment and ensure best practices in filming techniques.

POST-PRODUCTION & EDITING

  • Perform end-to-end editing of video content including cutting, sequencing, colour grading and sound design.
  • Apply motion graphics, visual effects and animation to enhance storytelling and brand impact.
  • Optimise and format content for various platforms (e.g. social media, digital channels, broadcast).
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards, technical specifications and deadlines.
  • Maintain brand consistency through editing style, tone, pacing, and visual identity across all content outputs.

MOTION GRAPHICS & ASSET CREATION

  • Design and animate motion graphics and video assets to support campaigns and ongoing content needs.
  • Develop visually engaging elements such as titles, transitions, overlays and branded graphics.
  • Ensure consistency with brand identity across all video outputs.

COLLABORATION & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Work closely with the Communications Team, Creative Team and content stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging formats and platform updates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production processes, tools and creative output.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Ideally, the successful candidate will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end video production including planning, filming and editing.
  • Experience producing content for social media platforms (e.g. TikTok, Instagram, YouTube).
  • Understanding of trends in digital content and audience engagement.
  • Basic knowledge of branding and marketing principles.
  • Strong capability in storyboarding and visual storytelling.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly: Premiere Pro (advanced), After Effects (advanced), and Photoshop (desirable)
  • Familiarity with additional editing tools (e.g. CapCut, Final Cut Pro or similar).
  • Solid technical knowledge of camera equipment, lighting setups and audio capture.
  • Experience creating motion graphics and animation for digital content.
