Description

We are seeking an innovative Technical Product Manager to join our team, based at either our Ingleburn or Goulburn office. This pivotal role within Hidrive’s Engineering Department is responsible for leading and evolving our electrical product portfolio. You will combine market insight with strategic thinking to drive new product development, manage enhancements, and ensure our electrical solutions continue to meet customer needs and industry trends.

 

About you

We are seeking candidates with a solid background in the manufacturing industry, strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ideally a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or a related qualification (relevant trade experience will also be considered).

 

Experience in product management and exposure to automotive electrical accessories will be highly regarded, though not essential. If you are proactive, well-organised, and thrive in a collaborative environment – working closely with teams across sales, marketing, supply chain, operations and customer care – then this is an excellent opportunity for you.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Create, Control and Manage Item data, ensure it is up to date and accurate
  • Manage price lists and product updates and ensure change control PCNs are implemented
  • Develop product requirement document to define scope and deliverables for new products and product improvements
  • Understand the market and ensure that Hidrive remains competitive and market leader
  • Define application of new and existing products to ensure relevance in existing and future markets
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, supply chain, operations and customer care teams
  • Collaborate with Operations on new product or product changes and quality issues
  • Develop and maintain a product road map
  • Support, assess and complete product change notices (PCN) with the PCN owners
  • Create and implement product bulletins to notify internal customers
  • Manage design manual updates and maintain stock build specifications
  • Support costing of custom products to meet customers’ needs in alignment with the Product Focus Matrix
  • Create reports on portfolio performance
