Description

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded, Mid-Senior lawyer to join our growing Wills and Estates team in Mandurah.

This is an opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys building trusted client relationships, providing strategic estate planning advice, and being part of a collaborative and respected firm with strong ties to the Peel region community.

About the Role

You will manage a diverse range of Wills and Estates matters with autonomy and support, including:

  • Complex estate planning matters
  • Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Enduring Powers of Guardianship
  • Testamentary trusts and succession planning strategies
  • Estate administration and probate matters
  • Advising executors and trustees regarding their duties and obligations
  • Superannuation death benefits and intergenerational wealth transfer strategies
  • Trust structures and taxation considerations relating to estate planning

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Minimum 4+ years post-admission experience in Wills and Estates or succession law
  • Strong technical drafting and advisory capabilities
  • The ability to manage matters autonomously from initial instruction through to completion
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management skills
  • A high level of empathy, professionalism and commercial awareness, particularly when supporting clients through sensitive personal circumstances
  • Experience mentoring junior lawyers and support staff
  • A genuine interest in business development, networking and community engagement
  • Strong organisational skills, billing practices and file management capabilities
