Corporate Accountant

Heytesbury is a diverse and privately-owned group of companies, with very successful cattle, wine and livestock shipping businesses as its core operations. 

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant to join our team in either a full-time capacity or, for the right candidate, on a part-time basis with reduced hours worked across five days per week. Reporting to the CFO, this role supports Group consolidation and reporting, manages accounting and month-end reporting for the Heytesbury corporate entities, and contributes to treasury and broader finance activities across the Group. It is a broad and hands-on opportunity suited to a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working across reporting, treasury, taxation and analysis in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounting for the corporate entities, including month-end processes, reconciliations, journals, and timely financial reporting.
• Support Group consolidated reporting and work closely with Finance Managers on divisional reporting inputs.
• Assist with treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting, working capital oversight, debt reporting, and covenant compliance.
• Monitor and account for AUD and USD debt facilities, including repayments, interest, foreign currency translation, and reconciliations.
• Support annual budgeting, tax reporting, and year-end financial reporting and audit processes.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support informed business decision-making.

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance, with CA or CPA qualification, or progress towards one, highly regarded.
• Proven experience in a corporate accounting, treasury, or similar finance role, ideally within a multi-entity environment.
• Experience working with multi-currency transactions, debt facilities, and cash flow forecasting.
• Experience using Microsoft D365 or Business Central is essential.
• Strong Excel, analytical, and financial modelling skills, with the ability to translate data into clear commercial insights.
• High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders.
