About the Role
We are seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant – Foods to join our Brisbane-based team. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Partnering, this role plays a key part in translating business performance into meaningful insights that drive decision-making across the Foods portfolio. You will work closely with operational leaders, FP&A and finance teams to interpret results, challenge assumptions, and support planning, forecasting and commercial decision-making. This is an opportunity to influence business outcomes by providing clear, forward-looking analysis across earnings, margins, cash flow and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business performance and provide insights into earnings, margins, cash flow and key business drivers.
- Partner with operational leaders to translate financial and operational data into practical commercial recommendations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and capital planning by reviewing assumptions, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing meaningful commentary.
- Prepare management reporting, performance analysis and market-based insights for senior leadership, JV partners and the Board.
- Interpret pricing, market and operational trends to identify risks, opportunities and actions that support business performance.
About You
You are a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys understanding the story behind the numbers. You have strong analytical capability, can confidently engage stakeholders at all levels, and bring a practical approach to solving business challenges. Comfortable working in a dynamic operating environment, you are capable of challenging assumptions constructively while providing insights that support better business decisions. Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, agribusiness, or other product-based environments will be highly regarded.
You Will Bring
- Experience in management accounting, commercial finance or business partnering roles.
- Strong ability to analyse operational and financial performance and communicate meaningful insights.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
- Prior experience within FMCG, manufacturing, agribusiness or other product-based businesses will be highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with CA or CPA qualifications desirable.
