Summary:

The Manager of Processing will oversee and optimise the processing operations within our mining facility in Mount Morgan, Queensland. A newly purpose built plant you will lead the operational success with a team of professionals dedicated to the project from concept to production. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient production, maintaining safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing operational performance and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the processing team to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Develop and implement processing strategies to optimise production and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and analyse processing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align processing activities with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct regular training and development sessions for team members.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for processing operations.
  • Report on processing performance to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in processing operations within the mining industry.
  • Experience with gold and CIL processing, including knowledge of ReCYN, is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in processing simulation and data analysis software relevant to the mining industry.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated commitment to upholding health, safety, and environmental regulations in the mining sector.
    • You are a team player and able to uphold company values recognising that success is a transaction with clear accountabilities and support.
  • Obligatory reporting and representation to corporate and government statutory authorities is a wheelhouse you already feel confident.
