About the Role:
As a qualified Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored nursing care and support to our participants. Operating within individual care plans, you will work both independently and collaboratively, advocating for our participants with empathy and critical thinking.
This role will involve a blend of office-based and community-based responsibilities. You will interact with diverse participants, offering physical and psychological support as needed. Administrative tasks such as filing, logging, and reviewing care plans will also be part of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive health assessments and developing care plans aligned with NDIS goals.
- Performing clinical procedures including SPCs, IDCs, wound care, and continence assessments.
- Prior experience with PEG feeding, stoma care, ventilation, and managing neurological conditions is essential.
- Training and guiding Support Workers on specific care needs such as epilepsy and dysphagia management.
- Strong advocacy skills and efficient incident escalation and reporting.
Essential Criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Experience in Disability Care within a community setting.
• Proficiency with MS Suite products and excellent computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently, show initiative, and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate approach.
• Self-motivated, adaptable to change, and exceptional time management skills.
• Compliance with Xanadu Group processes and procedures.
Mandatory Requirements:
• AHPRA Registration.
• CPR & First Aid Certification.
• Own vehicle with current driver’s license.
• National Police Check.
• NDIS Worker Screening Approval.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
• Working with Children Check.
• Australian working rights.
