About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-driven Administration Officer to join Heffron’s Data Processing team. This is a great opportunity to build a career in financial services while learning hands-on SMSF administration and processing. In this role, you’ll provide accurate and timely data entry and administrative support, process SMSF transactions in Class, and help keep our records and data feeds clean, current and reliable.

You’ll receive full training across a variety of processes and systems, with ongoing development opportunities and generous education support. You’ll also be part of a flexible, collaborative and supportive working environment where accuracy, continuous improvement and teamwork are valued.

This is a full-time position based in Maitland. Limited work-from-home options may be available after six months of employment.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Enter and process bank and cash transactions accurately
  • Classify transactions in line with reporting requirements
  • Monitor data feeds and resolve or escalate exceptions
  • Review and maintain asset holdings
  • Complete data checks to support accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain records, files and system data
  • Provide administrative support to internal teams

  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Good communication and team collaboration
  • Bookkeeping, accounts or admin experience (preferred, not essential)
  • The ability to learn quickly and confidently use complex IT systems
  • Willingness to learn and follow structured processes

No prior experience in self-managed super funds (SMSFs) is required—full training will be provided.
