The opportunity

We’re looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance & Assurance team. In this role you will provide expert financial leadership, oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and audit processes, and drive financial performance and cost-efficiency initiatives across the organisation. The finance manager reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is a permanent full-time role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching and developing the Finance team, fostering a high performing culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and outstanding service delivery
  • Managing the EBITDA and capex budget, forecast, and planning process in a timely manner to accurately predict performance, providing valuable insights into key trends, opportunities, and risks
  • Conducting financial analysis to understand key business drivers and use data and analytics to provide actionable advice to the CFO, ELT, and Operations to improve business performance and financial results
  • Developing monthly rolling forecasts tools and reporting, ensuring appropriate support for managers across the business to efficiently report progress against targets and accurate outlooks for the remainder of the financial year
  • Managing timely reporting of financial performance of the business by providing reports, financial insights and guidance to the wider business
  • Ensuring monthly, half yearly, and end of year statutory reporting is delivered to best practice standards
  • Preparing Risk & Audit Committee and Board information and papers and presentations as required
  • Leading business improvements projects targeting system and process enhancement for enhanced financial performance
  • Supporting the team in driving efficiencies in all operational finance and governance (Quality and assurance) activities with the ESG consideration at all times

About you

Ideally, you will share our vision to lead the change that will deliver an environment for future generations to thrive. To be successful in this role, you will have all or many of the following requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or equivalent
  • Professional qualification such as CPA,CA or CMA
  • Extensive senior financial managerial experience with a proven success record
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills of teams
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive and constructive relationships within and outside the organisation
  • Experience in finance within NFP, consulting, or project-based operations
  • Results oriented and metrics driven
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication with the ability to communicate and manage stakeholders at all levels
