About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, accounting operations, payroll, billing and compliance across our Australian and Philippine entities.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, strengthen internal controls, and support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and statutory reporting. You will also provide technical guidance to the finance and payroll teams and work closely with senior management to support business growth, informed decision-making and risk management.
Key Accountabilities
Financial Reporting, Analysis and Compliance
- Analyse financial results and provide insights, commentary, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and improve financial reporting frameworks, dashboards, and management reports for senior leadership.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies during audits and compliance reviews.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across the organisation.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and summaries.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations.
- Assist in audit preparation and provide documentation as required.
- Ensure adherence to Australian and Philippine accounting standards, statutory requirements, and financial reporting frameworks.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting deadlines.
Payroll Processing
- Support in ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll across Australian and Philippine entities.
- Maintain compliance with labour laws, tax regulations, awards, and statutory requirements.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Support end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Review and enhance payroll processes, controls, and systems to improve efficiency and minimise risk.
- Support payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting activities, ensuring timely resolution of issues and variances.
- Provide strategic guidance on payroll compliance, legislative updates, and process improvements to management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and operational leaders to support workforce planning, budgeting, and payroll governance.
Accounting
- Manage accounting operations across Australian and Philippine entities.
- Coordinate with external advisors, auditors, and internal teams to maintain compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- Ensure compliance with Australian and Philippine taxation regulations and accounting standards.
- Oversee general ledger integrity, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
- Implement and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across accounting and finance functions to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to finance and payroll team members.
- Partner with senior management to support business growth, operational strategy, and risk management initiatives.
- Monitor cash flow and financial performance
Billing and Revenue Management
- Support billing and revenue processes across Australian and Philippine entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Support revenue reconciliations and ensure the integrity of revenue recognition and reporting.
- Investigate and resolve complex billing issues, discrepancies, and stakeholder queries.
- Develop and strengthen billing controls, policies, and processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Membership of a professional accounting body (e.g. CPA, CA)
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of Australian and Philippine accounting principles and payroll regulations.
- Experience in financial consolidation across multiple entities.
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Philippine BIR reporting and Australian BAS/GST requirements.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Hurey, Sprout or other similar accounting platforms.

Work Setup & Employment Details
- Fully remote (Philippines-based), with occasional in-person or virtual team engagements once or twice per year
- 40 hours per week, aligned with Australian business hours
