We’re looking for a PR Account Manager to join our Melbourne team, delivering bold, culturally relevant campaigns for some of Australia’s most recognisable brands across sustainability, government, financial services and purpose-led organisations.
As part of Hardie Grant Media, one of Australia’s leading independent marketing networks, you’ll collaborate with more than 130 specialists across PR, content, digital, media and production to bring ambitious ideas to life through integrated campaigns.

A day in the life of this role.
As an Account Manager, you’ll sit right at the centre of the action – shaping ideas, landing media coverage and helping brands show up in culture in ways that actually matter.
You’ll:
- Lead media relations and campaign delivery: Drive the execution of earned media campaigns, developing compelling story angles, pitching to journalists and securing high-quality coverage.
- Build strong client partnerships: Become a trusted day-to-day contact for clients, understanding their business objectives and delivering proactive ideas that move the needle.
- Manage projects and support teams: Keep campaigns running smoothly across timelines, budgets and deliverables, while supporting and mentoring junior team members.
- Create compelling content: Craft standout communications including media releases, opinion pieces, case studies and social copy.
- Spot culture and trends: Stay on top of the news cycle and emerging cultural moments to uncover opportunities for brands to join the conversation.
- Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with our creative, strategy and content teams to deliver integrated campaigns that make an impact.
The qualities we’re looking for.
You’re a proactive PR professional who knows how to turn strategy into results. You bring curiosity, strong media instincts and a passion for creative storytelling.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in a similar PR role (agency experience highly regarded)
- Strong writing skills across media materials
- A growing network of media contacts and a track record securing earned coverage
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence communicating with clients, journalists and partners
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping campaigns on track
- A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset and positive energy
- Experience working across NFP, public sector, sustainability or retail sectors services will be highly regarded.

The salary for this position is $80,000 + Superannuation.
