Coastal Palms Village is a relaxed over-55s lifestyle community located in the beautiful coastal town of Shoalhaven Heads on the NSW South Coast. Positioned close to Seven Mile Beach and local amenities, the village offers peaceful coastal living within a friendly and established community.
We are currently seeking an experienced Permanent Part-Time Village Manager (Approx 30 hours per week) to lead the day-to-day operations of the village. This is a rewarding leadership opportunity for someone who is passionate about resident engagement, operational excellence and creating a positive community environment. Working closely with our Support Office, you will oversee the smooth operation of the village while leading a small onsite team and delivering an exceptional experience for our residents.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the village, ensuring high standards of presentation, safety, compliance and customer service are maintained.
This hands-on leadership role requires someone who is confident building positive relationships with residents while professionally managing more complex or sensitive situations. You will work closely with residents, contractors and the wider Hampshire support teams to ensure the village operates efficiently and continues to provide a welcoming and well-maintained community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a small onsite team to deliver exceptional service.
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the village.
- Maintain high standards across village grounds, facilities and amenities.
- Build strong relationships with residents and professionally manage enquiries and concerns.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legislative requirements and workplace health and safety obligations.
- Manage village financial administration, reporting and revenue performance.
- Oversee front office administration, including rostering and operational documentation, with support from an Office Administrator.
- Coordinate contractors and maintenance works as required.
- Participate in the village on-call roster and respond to emergency situations when required.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing a lifestyle village, residential community, retirement village, accommodation property or a similar customer-focused operation. Applicants with strong transferable leadership experience are encouraged to apply.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Proven leadership and people management experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships while confidently managing challenging resident situations.
- Sound computer skills, with experience using RMS or similar property management systems being highly regarded.
- Strong organisational, administrative and financial management skills.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
- High integrity with values aligned to Hampshire Property Group.
- Resilience, professionalism and a customer-focused mindset.
- A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
REMUNERATION
- Permanent part-time position (Approximately 30 hours per week), generally worked Monday to Friday.
