We are currently seeking a motivated and hands-on Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our team on a casual basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a casual position with flexible hours based on operational requirements.
This hands-on role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the day-to-day lives of our residents. Working closely with the Village Manager, you’ll help maintain the presentation, safety, and functionality of the village while contributing to a welcoming, safe, and well-maintained community.

Key Responsibilities
- General grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, hedging and landscaping
- Operate and maintain gardening and maintenance equipment
- Maintain village facilities, amenities and common areas
- Assist with minor repairs, cleaning and general maintenance tasks as directed
- Carry out preventative maintenance inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Assist with village improvement projects and general property upkeep
- Maintain tools, equipment and a safe work environment
- Ensure presentation standards of the village are maintained at all times
- Support the day-to-day operational requirements of the village as required
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience in grounds and property maintenance (community, village or similar environment preferred but not essential)
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, carrying and repetitive physical activities
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate power tools and maintenance equipment
- Energetic, reliable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Proactive problem solver who takes pride in delivering high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high presentation standards
- Good communication and customer service skills
You will be competent in the use of equipment such as:
- Ride-on mowers
- Hedge trimmers
- Whipper snippers
- Chainsaws
- High-powered hand tools
