We’re looking for a passionate Learning & Development Officer to join our team on a 6-month full-time contract, with potential for a permanent role.

In this hands-on position, you’ll partner with leaders and frontline teams to build capability, drive performance, and help people reach their full potential. If you’re motivated by developing others and creating real impact, we’d love to hear from you.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Collaborating with relevant managers/supervisors to identify job-specific training needs through skills gap analysis
  • Establishing role competency frameworks aligned to operational requirements, SQF/HACCP/WHS compliance, and leadership capability pathways
  • Translating business strategy and S&OP requirements into capability development plans
  • Developing and coordinating training programs to address competency gaps, including onboarding, policy compliance, soft skills, and job-specific skillsets
  • Designing competency assessments to enhance retention and practical application of skills
  • Driving and supporting SOP development and revisions with relevant teams
  • Prepare reports on training activities, outcomes, and return on investment (ROI) for senior management

ABOUT YOU

  • 2+ years experience in learning and development or a related role
  • Experience in FMCG industry (highly regarded)
  • Strong skills in designing and delivering engaging training programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting a thorough skills gap analysis and competency assessments
  • Proficiency with LMS tools that are SCORM 1.2 compliant
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating effective training sessions
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, human resources, psychology, education or learning (desirable)
  • Previous experience with Employment Hero HRIS and Go1 Learning (highly regarded)
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate training effectiveness and ROI
  • A passion for continuous learning and helping others grow
