Join the Haars Nursery team and help bring beautiful plants to retail stores across Victoria!

We’re looking for 3 x reliable, motivated casual Merchandisers to join our Sales team. If you enjoy working independently, building relationships, and take pride in creating visually appealing displays, we’d love to hear from you.

Hybrid Merchandiser – 2 retailers – Geelong and surrounds

  • Must be available: Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Up to 8 hours per day.

Retailer 1 Merchandiser Only – Melbourne CBD and surrounds

  • Must be available: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Up to 8 hours per day.

Retailer 2 Merchandiser Only – Northern Suburbs and surrounds

  • Must be available Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Up to 8 hours per day.

About the Roles

As a Sales Merchandiser, you’ll visit allocated retail stores according to a scheduled route, ensuring our potted plant displays are well presented, fully stocked and maintained to the highest standard. You’ll play an important role in driving sales while representing the Haars brand in store.

No two days are the same, and you’ll enjoy the flexibility of working across multiple locations while building strong relationships with the in-store team members.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Visit stores according to a planned schedule.
  • Merchandise and maintain Haars potted plant displays.
  • Rotate stock and ensure products are presented to a high standard.
  • Place stock orders and monitor inventory levels (where required)
  • Build positive relationships with Store Managers, Produce Managers and Greenlife team members.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales and product presentation.
  • Complete reporting, timesheets and administrative tasks accurately and on time.
  • Participate in team meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

About You

We’re looking for candidates who are:

  • Friendly, reliable and self-motivated.
  • Organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Able to work independently while also being part of a supportive team.
  • Confident communicating with customers and colleagues.
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Interested in plants, horticulture or retail merchandising (experience is highly regarded and preferred but not essential).
  • Must have your own, reliable car and valid licence.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in merchandising, retail, customer service or sales is desirable.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Good computer and mobile device literacy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
