Description

We’re a fast-growing allied health business on a mission to connect people to healthier lives — and we’re looking for a detail-focused Accounts Payable Officer to take ownership of our AP function. 

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for ensuring supplier payments are accurate, timely, and well-managed across multiple entities. You’ll be the go-to for all things AP, playing a key role in keeping our finance operations running efficiently. 

The Opportunity 

Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll take full ownership of the accounts payable function—managing high-volume processing, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and ensuring best practice processes are followed.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Managing the end-to-end accounts payable function across five entities 
  • Processing high-volume supplier invoices in Xero 
  • Maintaining and reconciling supplier accounts, resolving discrepancies 
  • Managing the accounts inbox and responding to queries promptly 
  • Preparing and administering weekly payment runs 
  • Managing credit card reconciliations and settlements 
  • Processing employee expense reimbursements 
  • Maintaining accurate vendor records 
  • Reconciling bank accounts across multiple entities 
  • Supporting month-end processes and reporting 
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements 

 

What we’re looking for: 

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role 
  • Strong experience with Xero (essential) 
  • Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Solid Excel and Microsoft Office skills 
  • Ability to manage high volumes and meet deadlines 
  • Strong organisational and time management skills 
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement 
  • Confident communicator who builds strong working relationships 
  • Accounting/Commerce qualification (advantageous, not essential)
