We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Procurement
Lead to drive procurement performance, supplier strategy, and inventory
control across the business.
The Role
The Procurement Lead will take ownership of end-to-end
procurement, inventory optimisation and supplier management. This role is
critical in ensuring Grydale maintains cost competitiveness, supply chain
resilience, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead
procurement activities across all projects and operational requirements
- Develop
and implement procurement strategies aligned to business objectives
- Manage
supplier relationships, performance, and long-term service level agreements
(SLA’s)
- Negotiate
contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with key suppliers
- Oversee
inventory control, stock accuracy, and replenishment planning
- Drive
continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems
- Manage
purchase orders, expediting, and critical material sourcing
- Coordinate
freight and logistics to meet project delivery timelines
- Support
auditing, NCR management, and supplier performance improvement
- Collaborate
with engineering, operations, and project teams
About You
You are a proactive and commercially minded procurement
professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven
experience in procurement leadership within manufacturing or engineering
- Strong
experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (or similar ERP
systems)
- Demonstrated
capability in:
- Inventory
control and optimisation
- Contract
negotiation and supplier agreements
- Strategic
sourcing and procurement planning
- Experience
sourcing and expediting critical components
- Excellent
stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong
analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Desirable
- Experience
in mining, industrial manufacturing, or heavy engineering sectors
- Exposure
to freight and logistics management
- Formal
qualifications in procurement, supply chain, or contract management
