We are a purpose-driven General Practice that believes in improving health through connecting with our patients and community. We are looking for an experienced Full-time practice nurse, based at our Fairfield practice.
This role role is for an experienced RN with leadership skills/education experience (or desire to acquire).
Reporting to our Practice Manager, with support from our Director of Nursing, this is an excellent role for an RN who possesses exceptional communication and leadership skills, is proactive and has a passion for primary health care and chronic disease management. This role has flexibility to be a RN practice nurse role only or combined CN/ Education lead role for our team of nurses as well as other team members. You will join our strong and friendly team of 10+ nurses across our other clinics, who all get together regularly for education and team events.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a robust primary healthcare foundation, be proactive and flexible, have strong leadership skills and commit to patient and community care.
What we are looking for
Qualifications & experience
- Minimum 3 year’s experience in the general practice setting (preferred)
- Current AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance (requirement)
- Nurse Immuniser Certificate (preferred)
- Skills in chronic disease management (preferred)
- Education experience (preferred)
- Best Practice software experience (desirable)
The successful applicant will have experience in:
- Primary health care
- Team education coordination
- Triage and prioritisation of care
- Cold chain management
- Wound care/ chronic disease management (gpmp/tca)
- ECG/Spirometry/ABI
- Vaccination administration
- Assisting with minor procedures and infusions
- Infection prevention and control
- Knowledge of accreditation standards
- Stock control
