About the role (Part Time – 3 days per week)
The Regional Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the Greyhound Adoption Program (GAP) and its various initiatives including adoption, fostering, the correctional facilities program and the PTSD program. If you are looking for a meaningful role where you can make a real difference to the lives of greyhounds and the people who welcome them into their lives, this could be the opportunity for you.
The Regional Administrator will help facilitate and streamline the fostering and adoption process of retired greyhounds both domestically and internationally. You will also assist with marketing and event preparation for GAP rehoming days, create greyhound adoption biographies or “dogalogues” for pups to find their forever home and support both new and current adopters with any queries.
This role is based primarily at our Londonderry facility, with 1 day each fortnight at our Sydney CBD office.
Key accountabilities:
- Respond to GAP program enquiries by providing guidance on processes or forms and support recent adopters with post-adoption queries and assistance
- Coordinate regional greyhound intake requirements and assessment appointments
- Monitor and respond accordingly to the shared regional GAP inbox.
- Assist with adoption lead generation and reporting for regional adoptions.
- Assist with marketing and event preparation, create biographies for greyhound adoptions and prepare adoption and fostering information packs.
- Manage documentation, administration, greyhound assessments, intake forms, owner registrations and assign greyhounds to different domestic and international rehoming pathways
- Provide post-adoption support and send post-adoption feedback forms
- Promote a culture of respect, trust and cooperation when liaising with veterinary practices, trainers, fosters, adopters, and any other stakeholders concerning the greyhound.
