Description

About us:

GO.FARM is an Australian-owned, high-conviction agricultural investor, developer and manager with a clear purpose: to transform Australian agriculture.

We identify underutilised and undercapitalised agricultural assets and reimagine them through land use change, investment in people, and adoption of climate-smart technologies. Our investment decisions and operations are underpinned by our Responsible Agriculture Framework, which guides our stewardship of natural capital, people and communities.

About the role:

We’re looking for a Grove Manager to lead the establishment and ongoing operation of one of GO.FARM’s newest high-density olive developments at Dellapool.

With the first trees planted in 2025 and development continuing through to 2028, this is a rare opportunity to shape a significant horticultural asset from the ground up. You’ll lead the grove through its establishment phase, building a high-performing team, embedding modern farming practices and creating the systems, culture and operational discipline that will underpin its long-term success.

Reporting to the General Manager – Riverina, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, productive and sustainable orchard operations while helping build one of Australia’s leading olive enterprises.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the establishment, development and ongoing operation of the grove.
  • Oversee orchard operations, including irrigation, nutrition, pest and weed management, and land preparation.
  • Manage operational planning, budgets, assets and continuous improvement, with a focus on productivity, sustainability and innovation.
  • Build, coach and develop a high-performing team aligned to The GO.FARM Way.
  • Foster a positive culture through effective recruitment, onboarding, coaching and ongoing development.
  • Build strong relationships with employees, contractors, suppliers and key stakeholders.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture where everyone goes home safely.
  • Ensure compliance with all WHS, environmental and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement in safe work practices.
  • Deliver production, quality and financial outcomes through effective planning, budgeting and resource management.
  • Collaborate with the Riverina leadership team to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
  • Other duties as required

About you:

You’re an experienced horticultural leader who enjoys building high-performing teams as much as growing high-performing orchards.

You bring a practical, hands-on leadership style, make sound decisions and enjoy solving problems. Most importantly, you’re passionate about developing people and building something that will have a lasting impact.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Experience managing horticultural or orchard operations.
  • Strong knowledge of irrigation, nutrition and orchard management practices.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams.
  • Financial planning, budgeting and operational management experience.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A current driver’s licence.

Why work for GO.FARM:

We’re serious about building long-term careers in agriculture. You’ll benefit from:

  • Real investment in your development, including 5% of your annual salary dedicated to learning
  • Flexibility through enhanced leave options, salary sacrifice opportunities, and competitive incentives
  • Access to growth programs focused on building long-term careers in agriculture
  • Wellbeing programs that support your financial, physical, and mental health

In addition, this role is offering

  • Base salary between $110,000 – $140,000 per annum
  • Short Term Incentive (STI) of up to 10% of your salary
  • Company provided house
  • Company vehicle for business use
  • Phone allowance
