About the role:
We’re looking for an Assistant Orchard Manager to join our team and help establish a new orchard development, with the first trees being planted in the coming weeks. This is a unique opportunity to be involved from the ground up and play a key role in shaping the future success of the orchard. We are seeking a proactive, hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment.
In this role, you will:
- Support the planning and execution of orchard operations, including land preparation, irrigation, nutrition, pest and weed management.
- Coordinate and supervise daily activities of orchard employees and contractors.
- Monitor and maintain orchard infrastructure, machinery, irrigation systems, and equipment.
- Assist with budget management, reporting, and operational planning.
- Promote a safe, productive, and positive team culture.
- Work closely with the Orchard Manager to achieve production, quality, and financial targets.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies.
- Represent GO.FARM professionally with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

About you:
You enjoy working with people, take pride in doing things well, and want to be part of something with real purpose.
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Experience in horticulture, agriculture, or orchard operations.
- Previous experience leading or supervising people.
- A current driver’s licence.
- Chemical accreditation (or willingness to obtain it).
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to safety, quality, and high standards.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a small, dynamic team environment.

In addition, this role is offering
- Base salary between $90,000 – $110,000 per annum
- Short Term Incentive (STI) of up to 10% of your salary
