Business Development Maintenance Manager

Glascott Landscape Management is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Maintenance Manager to support our continued growth across the landscape maintenance and open space management sector.

This is a key role within the business, responsible for developing competitive pricing strategies and leading the tendering process to secure new business. The position will require you to continue growing your network, fostering existing relationships, and maximizing the company’s profile in the marketplace. You will also manage CRM and project information databases, ensuring thorough follow-through throughout the entire sales process to successfully complete each sale.

About the Role

Reporting to senior leadership, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets
  • Identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities within commercial and government sectors
  • Estimating, cost analysis, and pricing of tender submissions
  • Leading the preparation of high-quality tenders, proposals, and pricing submissions
  • Conducting site assessments and collaborating with operational teams to develop accurate costings
  • Managing the full sales lifecycle, from initial engagement through to contract award and handover
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and industry stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate CRM data, pipeline tracking, and reporting on performance against KPIs
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for expansion

What We Are Looking For:

  • Customer Relations: You will be the face of Glascott Landscape Management, building and nurturing long-term relationships with our clients. Your ability to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions will be crucial to our success.
  • Pricing Expertise: Your experience in preparing accurate and competitive pricing estimates will ensure we remain competitive in the market. You will work closely with our operations managers to hand over detailed pricing work, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Team Collaboration: You will maintain constant contact with our management team, providing insights and updates on business development activities. Your collaborative approach will help align our strategies and achieve our growth objectives.
  • Operational Handover: You will ensure that all pricing and tendering work is meticulously handed over to our operations managers, facilitating smooth transitions from sales to project execution.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in a Business Development, Sales, or Estimating role, preferably within horticulture or landscape management industry
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience in pricing, tendering, and contract negotiation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with key stakeholders
  • A proactive and results-driven approach, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Confidence in managing multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • A current and valid driver’s licence
