Join our executive Administration team and play a key role in supporting Executive leadership through high-level coordination, stakeholder engagement, and day-to-day executive operations. GEGAC is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation based in Bairnsdale Victoria. Consisting of about 200 staff, GEGAC is a Not-for-Profit organisation that delivers holistic services in the areas of Primary Health, Social Services, Elders & Disability and Early Childhood Education.

GEGAC advocates for the self-determination of the Aboriginal community by prioritising services that enhance social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing, with culture at the heart of everything we do.

 

Position Purpose

The Executive Assistant provides high-level operational and administrative support to their allocated Executive or Executive Director.

The role supports effective Executive Office operations through calendar management, meeting coordination, briefing preparation, stakeholder liaison, correspondence management, travel coordination, and Executive office administration.

 

Core Function

The Executive Assistant is responsible for:

·Direct Executive support.

·Calendar and diary management.

·Meeting coordination.

·Briefing preparation support.

·Travel and logistics coordination.

·Correspondence management.

·Stakeholder communications.

·Executive office administration.

·Operational support for Executive workflow activities.

·The role provides day-to-day operational support to the allocated Executive or Executive Director.

 

Key Selection Criteria 

·Demonstrated experience in Executive Assistant, senior administration, or Executive support environments.

·highly developed organisational and time management skills.

·Strong written and verbal communication capability.

·Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

·Strong stakeholder liaison and relationship management capability.

·Ability to operate with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

·Strong administrative systems and workflow management capability.

·Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Executive Administration systems.

 

Qualifications and Registrations Requirement (Essential or Desirable).

·Valid Victorian driver’s licence    ESSENTIAL

·Experience within Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, government, health, or community services sectors    DESIRABLE

·A satisfactory Working with Children Check and Fit2Work Police Check    ESSENTIAL

·Understanding of culturally safe and community-controlled organisational practiceDESIRABLE

·A person of Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander background    DESIRABLE

·Proof of COVID-19 vaccinated to align with GEGAC requirements    ESSENTIAL
