Key Responsibilities
– Carry out scheduled and unscheduled repairs on equipment in the field.
– Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults using appropriate tools and methods.
– Complete job cards, service reports, and required documentation accurately and on time.
– Ensure compliance with site-specific safety protocols, SWMS, and PPE requirements.
– Communicate job status and updates to supervisor and clients as needed.
– Maintain service vehicle, tools, and stock levels in readiness for deployment.
– Report hazards, incidents, or near-misses in accordance with company HSEQ procedures.
– Support customer relationships through professionalism and effective communication.
– Participate in toolbox meetings and ongoing training.
Daily Tasks
[ ] Review daily schedule and site instructions.
[ ] Check vehicle, tools, and parts before departure.
[ ] Sign in at site and follow all induction and safety requirements.
[ ] Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs as required.
[ ] Take before-and-after photos and upload to job system.
[ ] Complete and submit job card and service report.
[ ] Communicate with base if additional parts or support are required.
Weekly Tasks
[ ] Restock service vehicle consumables and parts.
[ ] Clean and inspect tools and field kits.
[ ] Check calibration of diagnostic tools (as required).
[ ] Participate in team toolbox meeting or safety huddle.
[ ] Follow up on incomplete jobs or parts returns.
Monthly Tasks
[ ] Vehicle maintenance and safety inspection.
[ ] Contribute to HSEQ feedback or hazard reports.
[ ] Undertake any refresher training or certifications due.
[ ] Support remote site audits or customer feedback reviews.
[ ] Assist new field staff with onboarding or mentoring.
