About the Role 

We are looking for a Strategist to join our Melbourne team on a full-time basis. 

This role sits at the centre of strategy, creativity and client work, helping shape how brands, rights holders and entertainment properties connect with audiences through campaigns, partnerships, experiences and content. 

You’ll work across a diverse range of sport and entertainment projects, contributing strategic thinking from brief through to delivery. From audience and market insights through to campaign planning, partnership strategy, social and creator integration, you’ll help ensure our work is culturally relevant, commercially effective and audience-led. 

You’ll collaborate closely with strategists, creatives, producers and client teams to develop ideas that work across experiences, content, social, partnerships and broader marketing channels. 

While this is a broad strategy role, experience in social, digital, creator or cultural marketing is highly valued, helping ensure our thinking reflects how audiences engage with brands today. 

What You’ll Do 

Strategy & Planning 

  • Support the development of campaign, brand, partnership and audience strategies across a range of client projects 
  • Translate client briefs into clear strategic recommendations and actionable plans 
  • Develop audience frameworks, positioning, campaign architectures and strategic narratives 
  • Help shape integrated marketing approaches across paid, owned and earned channels 
  • Contribute strategic thinking that strengthens creative development and client outcomes 

Campaign & Client Work 

  • Work collaboratively across strategy, creative, client services and production teams 
  • Support the development of campaigns, activations, sponsorships and fan experiences 
  • Embed social, digital and creator thinking into broader campaign planning where relevant 
  • Develop recommendations grounded in audience needs, business objectives and cultural relevance 
  • Work closely with Creative, Strategy and Client teams to ensure ideas are practical, relevant and deliverable 
  • Contribute to client presentations, workshops and project deliverables 

Insights, Trends & Measurement 

  • Analyse audience behaviours, platform trends and cultural moments to inform campaign thinking 
  • Identify relevant fan and creator communities across sport and entertainment 
  • Identify insights that inform campaign, content and partnership opportunities 
  • Apply social, digital and cultural intelligence to strengthen strategic recommendations 
  • Review performance and capture learnings to improve future work 

Collaboration & Contribution 

  • Contribute to pitch responses, proposals and strategic narratives 
  • Develop clear, compelling presentation materials for internal and client use 
  • Support internal teams with social and creator expertise across projects 
  • Help build tools, frameworks and best practice approaches for social strategy 

About You 

Experience 

  • 4-6 years’ experience in strategy, marketing, communications, sponsorship, consulting, brand planning or integrated agency environments 
  • Experience developing strategic recommendations for brands, campaigns, partnerships or experiences 
  • Experience contributing to client presentations, workshops or pitch processes 
  • Experience in sport, entertainment, media, sponsorship or agency environments is highly regarded 
  • Experience across social, digital, creator or content strategy is desirable

  • Ability to turn complex information into clear, practical recommendations 
  • Understanding of marketing, communications and audience engagement principles 
  • Knowledge of social, digital and creator ecosystems and how they support broader marketing objectives

  • Strong deck-writing capability and attention to detail
