Lead the operations engine behind one of Queensland’s fastest-growing solar businesses.
You’ll own the sustainable performance of delivery and service across residential and commercial solar — coordinating a forward pipeline, leading three operational leaders, and ensuring every customer gets the experience the RACQ brand promises. This isn’t about firefighting — it’s about building systems, capability and process that make delivery reliable and scalable.
What You’ll Own
📋 Forward delivery pipeline
Coordinate with the Delivery Partner Manager to optimise field capacity, availability and job mix for customer and commercial outcomes.
⭐ Customer experience end-to-end
You’re the key manager with customer-facing outcomes in your remit — from install booking to ongoing service and commercial asset management.
👥 Three operational leaders
Delivery TL (install coordination & support), In Life TL (tiered service team), O&M Lead (commercial asset management & maintenance).
🔧 Commercial O&M
Ensure commercial clients get proactive system monitoring, scheduled maintenance and responsive technical support — a growing revenue stream.
💰 Financial performance
Cost control, STC recovery, invoicing pipeline, O&M revenue, margin performance — you own the delivery P&L.
🔄 Continuous improvement & change
Get to the heart of systemic issues, reconfigure processes, and lead the function through the residential/commercial merger and platform evolution.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll need:
- 5+ years in operations or delivery management — ideally trades, field services, construction or energy.
- Experience leading through leaders — coaching TLs or managers to drive performance across multi-function departments.
- Strong commercial acumen — P&L, budgets, margin management, and the instinct to connect operational decisions to financial outcomes.
- A track record of driving continuous improvement — root cause thinking, not just fixing what’s in front of you.
- Proven ability to lead through significant change while keeping delivery quality and team engagement intact.
Bonus if you have:
- Solar, renewable energy or electrical contracting experience.
- Familiarity with STC processes, CEC accreditation or DNSP requirements.
- Experience managing a subcontractor or partner network alongside an internal workforce.
- Exposure to commercial O&M or asset management for solar or technical infrastructure.
