Since opening our first store in Sydney in 2002, Gelatissimo has grown into Australia’s largest gelato brand, with 60 stores across Australia and an expanding international network.

We’re looking for a Business Operations & Technology Manager to join our Support Office in Rydalmere either part-time (minimum 3 days a week) or full-time.

About the Role

This is a broad, hands-on role working directly with the CEO to improve how Gelatissimo operates.

You’ll work across Manufacturing, Retail and Franchising, leading projects that strengthen systems, improve business processes and support the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.

You’ll be someone who enjoys making businesses more efficient, more connected and easier to operate.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Improving HR operational processes and employee lifecycle systems.
  • Coordinating external partners including HR advisers, technology providers and implementation partners.
  • Acting as the business owner for key operational systems, working with software providers and internal stakeholders to continuously improve functionality.
  • Supporting AI, automation and digital initiatives.
  • Coordinating governance/compliance activities and recurring business processes.
  • Developing business processes, workflows and operational documentation.
  • Improving reporting, dashboards and business insights.

About You

  • Have experience in Business Operations, Business Improvement, Operational Excellence, Business Systems or HR Operations.
  • Enjoy improving business processes and solving operational problems.
  • Are confident working across multiple departments and coordinating projects.
  • Have strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Are naturally curious and embrace technology, automation and AI.
  • Have experience with Employment Hero, ERP systems, Microsoft 365, SharePoint or workflow automation (highly regarded).
  • Have experience within manufacturing, retail, franchising or other multi-site businesses (desirable).
