Despatch Operator

Summary:

The Despatch Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing and production sector by ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of goods. This position is essential for maintaining the flow of operations and meeting customer demands. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficiency of the supply chain and uphold the company’s commitment to quality and service excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Safely load / restrain all FTI Group’s products onto trucks / trailers, according to daily load sheet
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure accurate inventory management.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatched items and update the inventory system.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during the dispatch process.
• Assist in loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding dispatch schedules and issues.
• Conduct quality checks on products before dispatch to ensure they meet specifications.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, logistics or production environment (minimum 2 year) is preferred.
• Understanding of the Australian Load Guide, preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Forklift license is mandatory.
