Your role

This is an exciting part time 0.5FTE opportunity to play a key role in the growth and development of futsal across Western Australia. As our State Futsal Lead, you will oversee and deliver futsal development programs, state championships, education initiatives, and participation growth opportunities across the state.

Working closely with key stakeholders across the game, you’ll oversee futsal state programs, championships, education initiatives, and participation growth opportunities, while acting as the key liaison with Football Australia on futsal-related matters. The role plays a critical part in growing futsal participation, strengthening the talent pipeline, and ensuring alignment with national frameworks.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of futsal development programs across Western Australia
  • Drive marketing and promotional initiatives to grow participation and engagement in futsal
  • Manage registrations, reporting, and participant data administration
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of futsal pathways in alignment with Football West and Football Australia priorities
  • Oversee the Football West State Futsal Program, including trials, player identification, team selection processes, coach appointments, and national tournament participation
  • Coordinate and deliver the Football West F-League Championships
  • Support the development of futsal engagement opportunities within schools
  • Manage event logistics, staffing, scheduling, and operational delivery to ensure high-quality programs and events
  • Coordinate and support futsal coach and referee education initiatives
  • Act as the key liaison with Football Australia on futsal-related matters, including national meetings and interstate engagement as required
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the football and futsal community
  • Some weekend and evening work required to support program delivery, matches, and trainings
  • Travel within Western Australia and Nationally for tournaments and meetings.

  • Proven experience driving participation growth and innovation, ideally in sport or education
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on measurable impact
  • Demonstrated ability to lead staff and volunteers across multiple programs
  • Experience designing and delivering large-scale community or school-based initiatives
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial approach with a genuine passion for football and inclusion
