What you’ll be doing

As an Operations Support Officer, you’ll play a key customer‑facing role supporting clubs, participants, parents, and internal Football West teams. You’ll assist with enquiries, registrations, logistics, event delivery and more, helping us to ensure football across WA runs smoothly and professionally. In addition, you will;

  • Respond to and log, customer enquiries via phone and email, recording interactions in the CRM
  • Support competition administration including registrations, fixturing, team allocations, results and disciplinaries
  • Provide guidance on competition rules and policies
  • Assist with logistics for programs, events, courses, and state/representative teams
  • Assist with coordinating volunteers for events and support event‑day operations
  • Troubleshoot customer issues and escalate when required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the Operations Support Team

About You

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organised and passionate about delivering great experiences in community sport and working as a team. In addition, you will also possess the following;

  • Minimum 6 months experience in customer service environment or operational support role highly regarded by not necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to be confident on the phone and write professional emails
  • Good administrative and organisational skills or ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work to tight timeframes
  • Ability to interpret rules, policies and regulatory documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Desirable: experience in events, customer service, logistics, volunteer coordination, or competition management systems
  • Able to work evenings and weekends as required.

What you’ll need

  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • A National Police Certificate (recent within 3 months of commencement if successful)
  • Current WA Driver’s Licence
  • Valid Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
  • Current First Aid Certificate & CPR (or ability to obtain)
